Blue Diesel

High quality Diesel with CME additive that help with efficient combustion that translates to increased engine power, longer mileage, and less emission. Complies with Philippine National Standards specifications.

Diesel is the portion of the crude oil that distills out within the temperature range of approximately 200 ºC to 370 ºC, which is higher than the boiling range of gasoline. Diesel, also known as distillates, may contain small amounts of hydrocarbon or non-hydrocarbon additives to improve diesel fuel performance such as ignition qualities and other characteristics suitable for compression ignition engines. In contrast to motor gasoline, which is ignited by an electrical spark, diesel fuel is ignited in an internal combustion engine by the heat of air under high compression. Because of the mode of ignition, a high cetane number is required in a good diesel fuel. The quality of diesel has improved as a result of the Clean Air law. Significant improvement in the maximum allowable sulfur content has been implemented, from 0.50% prior to the enactment of the law, down to the present level of 0.05% for automotive diesel fuel.

What is Coconut Methyl Ester or CME?

CME is the acronym for Coconut Methyl Ester or Coco-Biodiesel. Biodiesel, on the other hand, is the international name for methyl ester when used as diesel fuel or enhancer. (CME is not the same as the coco-diesel used in the 70's. Coco-diesel pertains to the use of crude coconut oil. Unlike Coco-Biodiesel this crude coconut oil did not undergo esterification.)

The properties of Coco-Biodiesel result in more efficient combustion that translates to increased engine power, longer mileage, and less emission.

Is Coco-Biodiesel safe to use on my engine?

YES! Coco-Biodiesel can be used in any diesel engine with little or no modification to the engine or fuel system. Also, blending Coco-Biodiesel actually improves the quality of the diesel fuel because of its properties like:

  • High lubricity, which protects your engine from wear.

  • Detergency, which cleans your fuel system.

  • Solvency, which dissolves and cleans you combustion chamber from carbon deposits.
